BROOK PARK — The I-X Indoor Amusement Park, presented by Marc’s, is returning to the I-X Center April 7-30, with more than 20 acres of family fun. BATH — Committee members are putting the final touches on the 29th Bath Volunteers for Service Annual Home Tour set for May 25 from 9:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. Six distinct homes will be featured. CLEVELAND — Are you looking for a special activity for your Scouting, youth or church group? Check out Night Tracks, an overnight program for groups at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, which offers adventure, Get-Close encounters with animals and a sleepover at the zoo. Night Tracks is designed for groups with a minimum of 15 participants and must include one adult for every 10 children. Children must be 6 years old and older. The fee is $35 per person, which covers the curriculum, equipment, counselor(s) who stay with each group through the entire program, sleeping arrangements in Northern Trek or the Administration Building, refreshments in the evening and a light breakfast in the morning. Additionally, each Night Tracks participant receives a souvenir Wolf Wilderness patch for completing the Night Tracks program and admission into the zoo and The RainForest immediately following the program. COLUMBUS — The Ohio Department of Development’s Division of Travel and Tourism has unveiled the 2006 Ohio Travel Planner. The 172-page annual planner is 28 percent larger than its biannual predecessor, the Discover Ohio Travel Planner, and presents information in a more traveler-friendly style, according to Division of Travel officials. The full-color planner contains a shorter editorial section focused on Ohio travel experiences divided into four areas: arts and culture, history and heritage, sports and recreation and family fun. A majority of the publication consists of seven geographic regional sections containing information for more than 2,000 attractions, recreation facilities, shopping venues, restaurants, lodging facilities and more. Gotch will present “Skin Deep: DNA, Information & Race” from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. A Cleveland native, Gotch received his doctorate degree in physical chemistry in 1991 from Purdue University. He has taught chemistry at the college level for 15 years and has published 10 peer-reviewed scientific papers. His research interests include novel materials, chemical sensors and solar energy conversion. Gotch is chairman of the Chemistry Department at Mount Union College.
