Safe Kids Coalition seeks nominations for awards
AKRON — The Summit County Safe Kids Coalition, based at Akron Children’s Hospital, is seeking nominations to recognize and reward students, adults, organizations, groups and municipalities that demonstrate concern for the safety of children ages 16 and younger.
Anyone working toward a safer tomorrow for children of Summit County can be nominated by an individual or group within the county. The winners will be announced during National Safe Kids Week May 6-13.
Each winner will receive a trophy, framed certificate and a small monetary award. The individual winners will receive a $50 savings bond, the organization winner will receive a $100 donation, and the municipality will receive a $100 donation to a charity of its choice.
The deadline for award nominations is April 14. Anyone interested in receiving a nomination form may call Summit County Safe Kids Coordinator Lisa Pardi at (330) 543-8942.
The form should include a complete description of the reasons for the nomination. Completed forms can be mailed to: Summit County Safe Kids Coalition, Akron Children’s Hospital, One Perkins Square, Akron, OH 44308-1062.
