Cancer center presents speaker series
FAIRLAWN — Stewart’s Caring Place, a cancer wellness and resource center, will host the “April Speaker’s Series” for cancer survivors, their friends and family members, and health professionals. The free educational presentations, which include refreshments, will take place at Stewart’s Caring Place, 2955 W. Market Street, Suite R, at 7 p.m. and include:
April 5: “Thriving Through Stress,” with Dr. Jennifer Swaim speaking on stress and how addressing it can improve a patient’s overall well-being; and
April 19: “Laughter is the Best Medicine,” with certified laughter therapist Peggy Stabholz teaching participants the therapeutic benefits of laughter.
