• GARRETTSVILLE — The 20th Annual Sugar Bush Golf Classic, to benefit Hattie Larlham, will take place May 24 at the Sugar Bush Golf Club. The outing offers a scramble with morning and afternoon tee-off times. Golfers will be treated to a registration meal and awards dinner. The cost is $120 for an individual golfer or $480 for a foursome. Since 1986, the event has raised more than $340,000 for Hattie Larlham. • STOW — Roses Run Country Club will be the site of the Sixth Annual Executive Women’s Golf Association’s June Scramble June 24. All proceeds will again fund free golf classes for children with developmental disabilities at the Akron General Edwin Shaw Rehab Challenge Golf Program. Sponsors, prize contributors and golfers are needed. Hole sponsorship, which includes sign recognition at a tee location, is $50, with a deadline of June 10. For the 8 a.m. shotgun start, team captains need to register their foursomes by June 15. The cost to play in the scramble is $75 per golfer, which includes greens fees, golf carts, beverages, a hot dog at the turn, prizes and a cookout.
