• Stewart’s Caring Place has appointed Ellen Cleary, MSW, LSW, as a counselor. Cleary earned her bachelor’s and masters degree’s in social work at Cleveland State University and has worked at numerous area facilities. Her duties will include individual, family and group counseling, plus outreach community programs for those touched by cancer.
• Suneet
Sahgal, M.D., has joined
Akron Children’s Hospital’s NeuroDevelopmental
Center as a physiatrist.
Sahgal previously served as
the director of Pediatric Rehabilitation
Trauma Services and as an attending
physician in the Department of Physical Medicine and
Rehabilitation at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
He earned his medical degree from Northwestern University
School of Medicine .
• The Akron Area YMCA has appointed Melissa Roddy as executive director of the Medina County YMCA. Roddy has served as associate director at the East Akron YMCA for five years and formerly was an English and religion teacher at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School, where she also coached cheerleading and softball and served as the Japanese Exchange Program coordinator.
