Butterflies take flight at Stan Hywet

WEST AKRON — Butterflies in Flight! opened for a second year at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens April 1.
An
emerald swallowtail, pictured below right, was among
the butterflies, shown above and at right, that have
taken flight in the Corbin Conservatory as part of the
exhibit.
Stan Hywet President and Chief Executive Officer Hank Lynch said 80,000 people visited the butterfly exhibit in 16 weeks last year during its inaugural year. The exhibit proved especially popular with children, he added.
Joining the butterflies in the Corbin Conservatory this year is Trains Across the Valley, a new exhibit that features three model trains running through a landscape designed by artist Paul Busse, of Kentucky.
The exhibits at Corbin Conservatory are open from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. every day of the week. Admission is $8 for adults, $2 for youths ages 13-17 and free for children ages 12 and younger and Stan Hywet members.
