FAIRLAWN — Rachel Jane Stevenson, of Fairlawn, was one of 18 finalists in the Ohio State Bar Association’s (OSBA) “There Ought to Be a Law” essay contest held in celebration of Law Day 2006. She is a finalist in the ninth-and-10th-grade division. After completion of county-level judging by the OSBA and participating local bar associations, essays deemed worthy of consideration for state-level prizes were judged by members of the OSBA’s New Lawyers Section. The finalists will be honored at a luncheon May 10 at the Columbus Athletic Club in Columbus, sponsored by the OSBA and the Ohio Bar Liability Insurance Co. First- and second-place contest winners from each division will be announced and U.S. savings bonds awarded.
