Sugartown Express success for ADA
FAIRLAWN — The American Diabetes
Association (ADA) Akron Area Chapter raised more than
$30,000 at the Sugartown Express fund-raiser recently.
The 30th annual event took place at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn.
Shown above, Nicholas Browning, president and chief executive officer of FirstMerit Bank, and event chairwoman Madeline Bozzelli welcomed guests to the event, which attracted 400 people.
The event featured raffles, door prizes and an oral and silent auction. Funds raised will benefit programs, services and research of the ADA.
FirstMerit volunteers and other
volunteers donned aprons and served pizza, pretzels
and beverages at the event. Shown below, from left,
