• BATH — The Revere Local Schools Board of Education’s rescheduled Aug. 15 meeting, which was to take place Aug. 28, has been cancelled. The next meeting is scheduled for Sept. 5 at 5 p.m. at the administration building, 3496 Everett Road.
• GREATER AKRON — Staples will host Teacher Appreciation Day Aug. 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the following stores: 4014 Medina Road in Copley; 645 Howe Ave. in Cuyahoga Falls; and 2981 S. Arlington Road in Springfield. The first 200 teachers visiting each Staples stores will receive a Staples gift bag containing an academic planner, supplies and coupons. Also, Staples will run its Supplies for School Kids program to help provide local Boys & Girls Clubs members with essential products for the school year. Customers can donate $1.95 for a package of school supplies to benefit children in their local community. All proceeds will go to the Boys & Girls Club or a nearby nonprofit organization. Supplies for School Kids is now in its fourth year and has provided some $1.5 million in needed supplies to youth nationwide, according to Staples.
