Velie, Bell exchange vows
Andrea Marie Velie and Daniel James Bell exchanged wedding vows June 3, 2006, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Akron. The Rev. Paul Schindler officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Harmon and Laraine Velie, of West Akron. The groom is the son of John and Connie Bell, of Tiffin.
The matron of honor was Marie Leng, and the maid of honor was Allison Velie. The bridesmaids were Lissa Velie, Sara Koch, Patty Laatsch, Emily Snider and Katie Kline.
The best men were James Bell and Andy Flechtner. The groomsmen were Luke Velie, Jordan Velie, Brandon Bell, Steve Bell and Bob Marquis.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Firestone High School and received a bachelor’s of sociology degree in 2003 from Bowling Green State University and a master’s of education in community counseling in 2006 from The University of Akron. She is a SAMI Therapist at The Counseling Center of Wayne and Holmes Counties.
The groom is a 1995 graduate of Hopewell London High School and received an associate of science degree in 2005 from the College of the Air Force. He currently attends Bowling Green State University and is employed by the Ohio Air National Guard.
Following a reception at the Martin
University Center, the couple honeymooned in Punta Cana,
Dominican Republic, and now reside in West Salem.
