• AKRON — The Summit County Veterans Council (including all Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Army/Navy posts) membership meeting will take place Sept. 20 at 7:30 p.m. at the Polish Legion of American Veterans, 383 Dayton St. On the agenda are veteran benefits support in Congress and negotiations with Summit County Executive James McCarthy for a new building site.
