hosting open house
FAIRLAWN — Armstrong Health and Fitness Training, located at 150 N. Miller Road, will host an open house Sept. 30 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Armstrong Health and Fitness is a private studio providing one-on-one fitness training to clients. Owned and operated since 2001 by certified personal trainer Randi Armstrong, the center offers a nonintimidating approach to strength and cardiovascular health, according to Armstrong.
Armstrong has a degree in exercise science from Kent State University. She also has certifications with the National Strength and Condition Association (NSCA), American Fitness Aerobic Association and Scirion Institute of Exercise Physiology. She has been a personal trainer for 13 years and has worked with clientele at all fitness levels.
Armstrong is a former competitive gymnast and now is a marathon runner and a cyclist, and weight trains on a regular basis.
Armstrong Health and Fitness Training employs certified trainers Jennifer Black, Sue Robinson and Gina Parasson.
Clients can exercise in a private environment, with a certified personal trainer supervising every session. Sessions include cardiovascular training, weight training, agility training, core training and sport specific training.
Programs are geared toward all ages and fitness levels and are offered for teens, adults and seniors.
Armstrong Health and Fitness Training offers 30- and 60-minute sessions. Partner training is available for those who enjoy working out with a friend or family member. Training hours start at 5:30 a.m., and the last client is training at 7 p.m.

Migun of Akron under new ownership,
offering free visits
MONTROSE — Migun of Akron, a demonstration center for the Migun Therapeutic Thermal Massage Bed, reopened Sept. 5 under new ownership.
Fabian and Carolynne Breaux recently were trained in the operation and fundamentals of the Migun Thermal Massage System. Along with their partners, Howard and Renee Pinsky, they are offering the Migun experience through free trial visits. The Migun system is intended to reduce stress and relieve back, muscle and joint pain through the use of the thermal massage bed.
The Migun Demonstration Center, located at 30 Rothrock Road, behind Golf Galaxy in Montrose, features 13 demonstration massage beds for prospective buyers to try free of charge in 15- to 35-minute sessions. The grand reopening special will run through Oct. 31, and no appointments are necessary.
