Davis, Mallot set to wed
Ralph and Paula Davis, of Columbus,
announce the engagement of their daughter Blair Renée
Davis, of Bath, to Andrew Thomas Mallott, of Bath, son
of Paul and Pam Mallott, of Hudson.
Blair graduated from Hudson High
School in 2003. She will graduate from
Miami University in May 2007 with a bachelor of education
degree. She is a student teacher.
Andrew graduated from Hudson High
School in 2000 and Kent State University in 2004 with
a bachelor’s degree in marketing. He is employed
in sales for Bank of America in Columbus.
A July 7, 2007, wedding is planned
at First Congregational Church of Hudson.
Cohen, Azar to wed
Mark and Ceil Cohen, of Fairlawn,
announce the engagement of their daughter, Megan Cohen,
to Ken Azar, son of Ken Azar Jr., of North Royalton.
Megan graduated from Revere High
School in 2000 and The University of Akron in 2005.
She is employed as a business
development representative for OfficeMax.
Ken graduated from Revere High School
in 1999 and The University of Akron in 2005. He is employed
as a business analyst at RTI International.
A Jan. 6, 2007, wedding is planned
at Fairlawn Country Club.
Cares, West are engaged
Lynn Gouge, of Alto, Mich., announces
the engagement of her daughter Kathleen Cares to Todd
West, son of Hugh and Phyllis West, of West Akron.
Kathleen graduated from Ionia
High School in 1986 and
Ferris State University in 1990. She is employed by
Axiom as a private investigator.
Todd graduated from Walsh Jesuit
High School in 1994 and Rochester Institute of Technology
in 1998. He is the owner of Advanced Homes of West Michigan.
Skoh, Coffman to marry
Tim Skoh and his wife, of Chagrin
Falls, announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristen
Marie, to Jeffrey Alan Coffman, son of Daniel and Shirley
Coffman, of Murrysville, Pa.
A graduate of Northville High
School, in Northville, Mich., and Bauder College
in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Kristen
is a sales representative with The Hammer Co.
The groom is a graduate of Walsh
Jesuit High School and The University of Akron and is
an account manager with MEDGroup Occupational Medicine
in Fairlawn.
The couple plan a Feb. 3, 2007,
wedding at St. Martin of Tours in Maple Heights.
Zambarano, Dente to wed
Jacqueline Zambarano, of Warwick,
R.I., and Sylvester Zambarano, of North Providence,
R.I., announce the engagement of their daughter Lori
to Michael Dente, son of the late Margaret and Richard
Dente, of Copley.
Lori is employed as a
licensed social worker in the Pediatric
Intensive Care Unit at Akron Children’s Hospital.
Michael is the compensation manager in the human resources
department at Sterling Jewelers.
The couple plan a Dec. 1, 2007, wedding
at St. Vincent Catholic Church in Akron.
Toms, Sugarman to marry
Michael and Linda Sugarman, of
West Akron, announce the engagement of their son Richard
to Sara Toms, of Moore, Okla. Sara is the daughter of
June Toms, of Apache Junction, Ariz.
Sara is a 2001 graduate of Red
Mountain High School in Mesa, Ariz., and is attending
Oklahoma State University at Oklahoma City. She is an
airborne surveillance instructor
(AWAC) in the U.S. Air Force (USAF).
Richard is a 1994 graduate of Firestone
High School. He received a bachelor’s of science
degree in chemical engineering from Ohio University and
a master’s degree in industrial engineering from
the University of Oklahoma.
He is a civilian engineer with
the USAF at Tinker Air Force Base, employed as the program
manager of the Engineering Intern Program.
The couple plan to marry in March
at Temple B’nai Israel in Oklahoma City.
Cox, Petersen are engaged
Greg and Krista Cox, of Sharon
Center, announce the engagement of their daughter Audra
Farren Cox to Chad Adam Petersen, the son of Renee and
Joe Thomas, of Hinckley, and Kevin and Vicky Petersen,
of Avon.
Audra is a 2006 graduate of Highland
High School and Medina
Career Center. She is employed at Sterling Oaks and
Golden Leaf Nursing Home of Wadsworth.
Chad is a 2005 graduate of Highland
High School and Medina Career Center. He is employed at
NovaStar Mortgage of Richfield.
A wedding date has not yet been

Hopkins, Maroon exchange vows
Erin Marie Hopkins and Anthony
Jerome Maroon were wed June 10, 2006, at St. Sebastian
Church by the Rev. William Karg.
The bride is the daughter of
Rick and Cathie Hopkins, of Canal Fulton, and the groom
is the son of Jerome and Karen Maroon, of Copley.
Mandy Johnson served as matron
of honor, while Danielle Breen was the maid of honor
and Sarah Himler, Ashley Collings and Tina Maroon were
bridesmaids.
The best men were Robert Gilbert
and James Kolton, and the groomsmen were John Bennett,
Eric Shane and Mark Cook. Chris Hopkins and Josh Riel
were ushers.
Erin is a 2001 graduate of Northwest
High School in Canal Fulton and a 2006 graduate of Kent
State University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.
She is the managing editor of The Jackson Observer in
Jackson.
Anthony is a 1987 graduate of
Copley High School and a 1991 graduate of The University
of Akron with a bachelor’s degree in technical
education and an associate’s degree in criminal
justice. He is an Ohio state trooper in Stark and Summit
counties.
Following a reception at St.
George’s Fellowship Center in Copley, the
couple honeymooned in Las Vegas
and reside in North Canton.
