Kaye Reiter, R.N., has been named the director of invasive cardiovascular medicine services for Summa Health System Hospitals’ Cardiovascular Institute. In her new role, Reiter is responsible for managing operational efficiency as well as creating new and maintaining existing initiatives to enhance the delivery of patient care.
LifeBanc, the nonprofit, federally designated organ and tissue recovery organization in Northeast Ohio, has hired Laura Ash, R.N., of Akron, as an in-house coordinator for Aultman Hospital. Ash’s primary responsibilities are providing organ and tissue donation education for hospital staff and approaching families for consent for organ and tissue donation and supporting families in this decision.
Dr. Ellen MacRitchie has joined Akron Children’s Hospital Physician Associates’ Medina office. MacRitchie joins Drs. Susan Alexander and Natalie Jedacek in treating infants, children and adolescents. She received her medical degree from Wright State University and completed her pediatric residency at Akron Children’s Hospital. Michael
Stevens, a registered pharmacist,
has joined Advanced Infusion Services, an affiliate
of Visiting Nurse Service, as director of pharmacy.
Stevens’ background includes experience in retail
pharmacy, the critical care setting
and home infusion services. He is a graduate of The
Ohio State University.
Summa Health System has added three new practices and eight physicians to Summa Physicians Inc. (SPI), its organization of multi- specialty physicians, including: Summa Psychiatry Associates, with Drs. Lynn Klimo and Thomas Robb; Summa Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, with Drs. Scott Weiner, Nilesh Shah, Jeffrey Junko and Ian Alexander; and Summa Family Medicine, with Dr. Lisa Esterle. In addition, Dr. Adrian Dan has joined the existing practice of Summa Physicians Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery for Northeast Ohio.
