Richie seeks companion

PENINSULA — “Hi, my name is Richie. I’m 4 to 5 years old and am a mix of a lot of different breeds. I’ve been at the Humane Society of Greater Akron for two years. Humane officers rescued me because my previous owner was treating me very cruelly. Thank goodness for
the kind neighbors who reported him. Who knows where I would be today if they hadn’t come for me.
I’ve graduated from obedience class and I know basic commands such as sit, stay, come and lay. I have lots of energy, but I calm down quickly. I have outgrown my puppy ways, but I am still very excited about a potential life outside of the shelter. I’d do best as an only pet. After all, I’ve slept with hundreds of dogs over the past two years and I need some space of my own. If you are looking for a fun companion, I’m it!”
Adoption fees are $100. All animals are spayed/neutered and are current on age-appropriate vaccines. To adopt Richie, call the Humane Society, 4904 Quick Road, at (330) 657-2010. To learn more about other adoptable animals, visit www.summithumane.org.
