CUYAHOGA FALLS — Single Volunteers of the Western Reserve (SVWR) will meet April 10 at 7 p.m. at the Cuyahoga Falls Public Library, 2015 3rd St. There will be a brief orientation for new members, followed by the regular membership meeting at 7:30 p.m. SVWR members volunteer for area nonprofit groups at galas, walk-a-thons, marathons, style shows and concerts. DOWNTOWN AKRON — The Salvation Army Auxiliary will have an open meeting for anyone interested in becoming a member or learning more about what the auxiliary does to help others in the community. The meeting will take place April 11 at 7 p.m. at the Salvation Army Citadel, 190 S. Maple St. Attendees will be able to meet new Capts. Sue and Jim Betts. A staff member will speak, and volunteer opportunities for the year will be reviewed. Tickets may be purchased that night to a benefit luncheon-style show May 5. CUYAHOGA FALLS — The 2007 monthly meetings of the Summit Soil & Water Conservation District Board of Supervisors take place the third Monday of each month at 4 p.m. at the district office, 2795 Front St., Suite D. If the third Monday falls on a holiday, the board will meet on the fourth Monday that month. The November meeting will take place on a Wednesday morning in conjunction with the District’s Annual Program Planning Meeting and will take place at the annual meeting site. The December meeting will take place two hours earlier at 2 p.m. Meeting dates for the year are: April 16, May 21, June 18, Sept. 17, Oct. 15, Nov. 15 and Dec. 17. These meetings are open to the public. COVENTRY — The Naranon Support Group presents “Saturday Night Serenity” meetings every Saturday at 7 p.m. at Lockwood United Methodist Church, 3680 Manchester Road.
