DOWNTOWN AKRON — The University of Akron (UA) Dance Company will present its 2007 Spring Concert April 12-13 at 8 p.m. in E.J. Thomas Performing Arts Hall, 198 Hill St. The Spring Dance Concert features choreography by five UA faculty members: Nick Carlisle, Andrew Carroll, Kimberly Lawver, Tom Smith and Cydney Spohn. Works will reflect styles from classical ballet to modern jazz and feature students in UA’s dance program. Tickets cost $12 for general admission; $10 for senior citizens, UA faculty and staff; and $6 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the Thomas Hall Ticket Office Mondays through Fridays from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and beginning two hours before each performance.
