• CUYAHOGA FALLS — A pops concert will take place May 4-5 at 7:30 p.m. in the Cuyahoga Falls High School auditorium. The A Cappella Choir, Women’s Ensemble and Melody Men and Melodettes will perform a variety of songs featuring choreography and costumes. The concert also will feature soloists and group vocalists from these choirs. The concert will conclude with “Sentimental Journey,” combining current A Cappella members and alumni. Tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for students and children age 12 and younger.
• WEST AKRON — ETC School of Musical Arts will present its 29th annual Spring Gala May 6 at 6 p.m. at Firestone High School. The performances of all three groups, “The All Americans,” “The Main Street Singers” and “The New Generation,” will be showcased with their award-winning season of music and dance. The Summit
Children’s Choirs will
present their annual “Sounds of Spring”
concert May 19 at 7 p.m. on the Cuyahoga Falls High
School auditorium stage. Each of the training and ensemble
levels of the program will perform individually for
this event, with a grand finale by the 55-member Touring
Choir, which will be traveling to Germany, the Czech
Republic and Austria this summer
to perform in major cathedrals throughout central Europe.
