AKRON/GREEN — The Chapel will offer three upcoming programs: Campus Focus, Real Life and Synergy. Campus Focus is a college ministry offered on Thursdays, beginning May 31, at 7 p.m. at the Fir Hill Campus and includes ultimate Frisbee and God’s Word. Real Life, for adults in their 30s, will run on Wednesdays, beginning June 6, at 6:45 p.m. at the Green Campus and features worship or discussion, followed by a cookout, volleyball, bocce ball, ultimate Frisbee, cards, games and more. Bring a side dish or a beverage to share. Synergy, a similar program for adults in their 20s, will be offered on Thursdays, starting June 7, at 6:45 p.m. at the Green Campus. Also, TableTalk will take place June 7 at noon at Greystone Hall (at the corner of Mill and High streets in Downtown Akron) and includes lunch and the Rev. DOWNTOWN AKRON — The First Friday Club will host Anthony Garascia as he presents “Reflections on Pope Benedict XVI’s Encyclical” June 1 at noon at the Martin University Center at the University of Akron, 105 Fir Hill. Garascia is a trainer, writer and therapist with experience in family systems, abuse, grief counseling and training of individuals and community formation. The cost of the luncheon is $14.
