• FAIRLAWN — The Fairlawn Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars will meet May 28 at 10:30 a.m. at the Fairlawn-Kiwanis Community Center, 3486 S. Smith Road, with Mayor William Roth. For more information, call (330) 668-2205.
• MINERAL RIDGE — Edith Lowden will preside at the fourth District Eight Ladies Auxiliary meeting June 3 at the Mineral Ridge Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) No. 4192 Post Home, 3889 Main St. Breakfast will be from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m., with registration from 7:30 a.m. to noon and the meeting from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nominations and elections of officers for 2007-08 will take place. All members are encouraged and urged to attend. Installation of the new officers will follow at the close of the meeting.
