DOWNTOWN AKRON — The First Friday Club will host Anthony Garascia as he presents “Reflections on Pope Benedict XVI’s Encyclical” June 1 at noon at the Martin University Center at The University of Akron, 105 Fir Hill. Garascia is a trainer, writer and therapist with experience in family systems, abuse, grief counseling and training of individuals and community formation. He teaches individuals as well as groups, teams and faith communities and has authored a number of books on counseling and marriage preparation. The cost of the luncheon is $14.
