DOWNTOWN AKRON — Adventures Along the Silk Road: A Taste of the Orient will be on display June 1 through Sept. 2 at Hower House, 60 Fir Hill. An opening reception will take place June 1 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The exhibit will feature souvenirs the Howers collected during their travels and will include pieces that have been loaned by Hower family members. Admission to the opening reception is $15 for nonmembers and $10 for members. Admission to the exhibit is $6 for adults, $5 for senior citizens, $2 for students of any age and free for children younger than 6 who are with an adult.
