Class reunions
• WEST AKRON — The 40th reunion of the Firestone High School Class of 1967 will take place June 9 at 6: 30 p.m. at Tangier restaurant, 580 W. Market St. Reservations will be accepted at jim@millerlight assoc.com until June 1.
• NORTON — The Norton Alumni Association of Norton High School will host its 86th annual banquet and meeting June 9 at the Barberton Moose Banquet Hall. Registration will begin at 4:30 p.m., with a buffet dinner served at 6 p.m. The cost of the buffet is $15. Alumni membership dues are $2 per graduate. The classes of 1957, 1982 and 1997 will be honored guests, along with recognition being given to the Norton City Schools District Board of Education members, faculty and administrators. The Norton Alumni Foundation also will present several $1,000 scholarships from the Arthur R. Gaffga Scholarship Foundation, which was established in 1972 to provide financial assistance to Norton High School graduating seniors. The reservation deadline for the banquet is May 31.
