GREEN — Visitors to the Home
Builders Association (HBA) Serving Portage & Summit
Counties’ 47th Annual Single Site Summer Parade
of Homes will be able to take in a new development springing
up in Green.
The 240-acre Spring Hill development is located at the intersection of Boettler and Arlington Roads. The Parade of Homes will feature seven homes in an upscale section known as the Highlands.
“It’s a single-family residential community,” said Michael Pusateri, director of builder marketing for DeHoff Development. “It’s a part of a mixed-use community that includes office and some commercial.”
Pusateri added Spring Hill is pretty typical of the type of development DeHoff is involved with, with street trees and street lights. “We have always included those two items,” he said.
Spring Hill also has sidewalks, a grand entrance and a pond with a fountain, Pusateri said. The long-term plan for the development includes a trail system throughout, he said. A new city of Green soccer complex is planned for one end of the property, as well.
The homes in the development fall into two price ranges, the more modest of which is $275,000 to $350,000. In the Highlands, the homes are more higher-end and in the $500,000 range.
The brand-new parade homes broke ground after the first of the year, and two have been sold. They are laid out as fully furnished model homes for the duration of the parade, Pusateri said.
Pusteri said Spring Hill is far from a cookie-cutter development. All seven of the parade homes are unique, he said, with different styles and colors.
Located in North Canton, DeHoff Development serves Akron, Cuyahoga Falls, Green, Jackson, Canton and North Canton, among other communities.
For more information about the company, including its other developments, visit www. dehoffdevelopment.com.
In addition to exposure for Spring Hill and the city of Green, Pusateri said DeHoff’s hope for the Parade of Homes is to show that, despite concerns, the housing market is going strong and builders are doing well.
According to the HBA, the site was selected because of its convenient location and unique neighborhood appeal.
Spring Hill has easy accessibility from Interstate 77 on either Massillon or Arlington roads, according to HBA officials.
