Tasting Aug. 18. Coordinated

chef Jonathon Sawyer, the tomato tasting gives shoppers
the opportunity to taste
a number of varieties side by side. Countryside Farmers’
Markets are producers-only markets managed by the Countryside
Conservancy. The market is open Saturdays from 9 a.m.

WEST AKRON — Caring for Kids Inc. will present an Ice Cream Social fund-raiser Aug. 19 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Hardesty Park, 1615 W. Market St. The Class of ’57 will perform. Information about Caring for Kids’ adoption programs, foster care services, orphan hosting program, pre-adoption training and the Positive Learning for Adults and Youth (PLAY) program will be available. CUYAHOGA FALLS — The Ohio Clown College will host Introduction to Professional Clowning. The complimentary session will be Aug. 25 from 9 to 11 a.m. at The Funny Stop Comedy Club, 1757 State Road. The session will include a continental breakfast and give those in attendance the opportunity to explore the entire spectrum of professional clowning. NORTON — The Jammin’ Jumpers Jump Rope Team will host a “Euchre Night” fund-raiser Aug. 25 at the Norton Community Center on Greenwich Road. A donation of $10 per person includes all card play, unlimited appetizers, desserts, soft drinks and door prizes. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with games beginning at 6. Tables are limited.
