• BRIMFIELD — North Coast WAVES Unit 21 of WAVES National will meet at Otto’s Restaurant, 4112 Brimfield Plaza, at 11 a.m. Sept. 8. A Chinese auction and $15 luncheon will be featured. Items will be collected for Stand Down. Call (330) 724-3460 by Sept. 1 to make a reservation.
• CUYAHOGA FALLS — Family & Friends Connected Military Support Group will meet Sept. 14 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Panera Bread, 689 Howe Road. Cuyahoga Falls Mayor Don Robart will be the special guest. All military families and personnel are welcome. Recruiters will be in attendance.
• FAIRLAWN — The World War II — Korean War Roundtable will meet Sept. 27 at 6:45 p.m. at the Fairlawn-Kiwanis Community Center, 3486 S. Smith Road. Ken Rogers, of the 45th (Thunderbird) infantry division, will be the guest speaker. Rogers, who was in the landing at Anzio in WWII, was on the line with his regiment for 511 days and was captured by German soldiers. For more information, visit www.wwiirt.com.
