CLEVELAND — The Flats Oxbow Association and Cleveland Rowing Foundation will present the 2007 Cleveland Dragon Boat Festival Sept. 1-2 in The Flats with opening ceremonies to begin at 11 a.m. and races scheduled from noon to 5 p.m. Sponsored by Asia Services in Action Inc. and the St. Clair Superior Community Development Corp., the event promotes the people and unique cultures of the Asian community, as well as the Asian business community. Dragon Boat racing incorporates high energy, fitness, team building and recreational exercise for men and women of all ages and fitness levels in a fun and competitive atmosphere, according to organizers. Individual strength is less important than teamwork, coordination and cooperation.
