DOWNTOWN AKRON — The Summit
Choral Society is seeking singers in second through
eighth grades who want to advance their singing skills
and techniques to be a part of the Summit
Children’s Choir Program.
This comprehensive choral music program, involving children
from more than five counties, emphasizes vocal growth,
music literacy and performance
readiness. Each child is individually evaluated and
placed in the training division appropriate to his or
her age, ability and experience. The children then attend
weekly training sessions during the school year. Noncompetitive
assessments/auditions will take place Sept. 7 beginning
at 4:30 p.m. at Steinway Hall, 715 E. Buchtel Ave. To
