Fairlawn police seeking information on fatal crash

FAIRLAWN — An accident Aug. 23 at 9:31 p.m. at the intersection of West Market Street and Smith Road resulted in a fatality, according to the Fairlawn Police Department.
Andrew Crosier died Aug. 27 as a result of injuries he sustained in the accident, in which the Kawasaki Vulcan motorcycle he was riding was struck on the right side by a Lincoln Zephyr driven by Elizabeth Kahle.
Crosier reportedly was traveling eastbound on West Market to northbound on Smith Road when Kahle, who was traveling westbound on West Market, struck his motorcycle.
Kahle was transported to Medina General Hospital, and Crosier was taken to Akron General Medical Center. A passenger on Crosier’s motorcycle, Christy Baker, was taken to Akron City Hospital.
The crash is being investigated by Fairlawn Police with assistance from the Summit County Metro Crash Response Team. Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to call the Fairlawn Police Department at (330) 666-8871.
