MEDINA — A limited number of tickets are still available for the 2007 annual meeting and grant presentations of the Medina County Community Fund and the Medina County Women’s Endowment Fund (WEF), both affiliate funds of the Akron Community Foundation. The meeting will take place Sept. 20 beginning at 5:30 p.m. at Rustic Hills Country Club, 5399 River Styx Road, and include dinner and grant presentations. This year’s featured speakers will be Joann King, author of “Letha E. House: From Foundling to Philanthropist,” as well as representatives from several Medina County grant-recipient organizations. The cost is $45 per person (costs in excess of $25 per person are tax-deductible). Checks should be made out to the Medina County Community Fund or Medina County WEF. SUMMIT/MEDINA COUNTIES — State Auditor Mary Taylor’s Office has released the results of audits for Summit County Family and Children First Council, Summit County’s financial condition, Medina County’s financial condition and Granger Township.
