Hoban girls swing past Elms at Mud Run Golf Course

AKRON — In what is quickly becoming a season full
of notches in the win column, the Archbishop Hoban High
School Lady Knights added yet another to their collective
belt as they cruised past the Our Lady of the Elms High
School Lady Panthers 189-216 at Mud Run Golf Course
Sept. 10.
Sydney Lakos, Hoban’s No. 1 golfer, is shown at near right as she putts on the third hole with the Elms’ Katie Wagner looking on. Lakos lead the Lady Knights and all golfers with a low match score of 43. Wagner, also shown second from the left as she tees off on the fourth hole, shot a 58 for the Lady Panthers.
Hoban also received excellent play from its supporting cast. Danielle Didado, shown second from the right as she follows through on a tee shot, shot a 49 on the day. Her teammates Sierra Billhimer and Sarah Krajewski turned in scores of 44 and 53, respectively.
For the Lady Panthers, Lauren Foster, shown at far right as she tries to sink a long downhill putt, led her teammates with a low score of 47. Natalie Millar followed closely behind, shooting a 50. Chelsea Whims rounded out the Elms’ scoring with a 61.
The Lady Knights will next play away against St. Thomas Aquinas High School today, Sept. 13, at 4 p.m. The Lady Panthers will head to Hinckley Hills Golf Course to take on North Royalton High School Sept. 18 at 3:30 p.m.
