CUYAHOGA FALLS — The Family & Friends Connected Military Support Group will meet Oct. 12 at Panera Bread, 689 Howe Road, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. All military families and personnel are welcome. Guests will include George Baker, executive of the Summit County Veterans Commission, and Gregory Clifford. Recruiters will be in attendance.
HUDSON — The Akron Chapter of the 82nd Airborne Division will host “All Ohio Days” Oct. 19-20 at the Holiday Inn in Hudson. This convention honors all paratroopers and glider troopers who have served or are now serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. SUMMIT COUNTY — The USS Nimitz (CVN-68) Association is searching for shipmates, including ship’s company, staff, squadrons and detachments, who served on board the nuclear attack aircraft carrier for a ship’s reunion in Nashville June 19-22. The Nimitz is currently deployed to the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
