• CVNP — Cuyahoga Valley National Park Association (CVNPA) will host cross-country style runs Tuesdays in October. Details of each 3- to 6-mile run will remain secret until the event begins at 6 p.m. at a different location each week. Locations for the run include: Oct. 9 at Oak Hill Trailhead in Peninsula; Oct. 16 at the Happy Days Visitor Center parking lot in Peninsula; Oct. 23 in the Boston Store Visitor Center in Peninsula; and Oct. 26 at 9 p.m. at Ledges Shelter in Peninsula. The 2007 Fall Running Series is $75 and includes all races, membership in CVNPA and a free North Face pullover. The package is available to the first 100 registrants at www.active. com/event_detail.cfm?event_id= 1465739. Registration for individual races, available the night of each race, is $5. Team registration is $20 for runners age 14 and younger (limited to 10 runners per team). Events will take place regardless of conditions, including rain, sleet and snow. All levels of runners and walkers are welcome.
