What makes you the best candidate for the position?
“Councilman Marco Sommerville has many political accomplishments. He fought to re-instate EMS service out of Akron’s Fire Station No. 4 which served many senior citizens in the area. His stance on revitalizing the community is unmatched. His efforts helped to replace a dilapidated Lane School building with new homes. Sommerville took the lead on making the Springhill Apartment Complex, which was one of the city’s worse and is now a model that other cities might follow. It was his gift to bring people together that the Balch Street Fitness Center is a reality today. He has even worked to see that a neighborhood would not be without a local supermarket. He has worked with Akron’s mayor and other city council members on projects too numerous to mention. All that he does as a city councilman assures the people of his ward and all Akronites that they get the best services that a city can offer.”
