What makes you the best candidate for the position?
“My successful business
management experience in
the steel industry — both operations and sales
— and my education will surely help me as trustee.
More importantly, I grew up in Bath, and have a deep
love for our community.
I am strongly motivated to be a trustee and to use my
communication skills to listen to and encourage Bath
residents to be heard and involved in our local government
again.
“I am concerned about Bath’s future. I have received much from living in Bath from childhood on and I want to give something back. Now more than ever we as concerned Bath residents need a voice and say on the board; something that is lacking now. I will change that.
“We have many issues from zoning, to township internal activities to growth; not to mention every day needs for services. We deserve action and leadership and this is specifically why I am running for trustee. We must engage and involve residents for their input, ideas and resources and use those assets to keep Bath the wonderful community we all cherish.”

What makes you the best candidate
for the position?
“Having served as trustee
for 12 years, I believe my experience
makes me the best choice for Bath Trustee. I have been
a ‘hands-on’ trustee. I have in-depth knowledge
of all areas of the government.
I have served as liaison to administration, zoning,
parks, solid waste district, cemeteries and the Quarterly
newsletter. I have taken a keen interest in the police,
fire and service departments. I have also reviewed all
budgetary requests in detail. I have personally written
20 grant requests to supplement revenues. From those
requests, as well as donations
the township has received $1,850,000 which was used
to fund improvements.
“My decisions and vision
for Bath have been based on three premises. First and
foremost, has been the desire to ‘Keep Bath Rural’
while preserving the cultural heritage and natural wonder
of Bath and its park system, as well as maintaining
quality public services. Therefore I will continue to
1.) implement the Comprehensive Plan, 2.) select interested
and informed citizens to serve on committees 3.) resist
excessive growth and development in order to preserve
our rural residential character, 4.) develop the scenic
byway and historic districts, and 5.) guide the community
through significant events that impact Bath’s
future.”
