VOTER GUIDE OVERVIEW
The West Side Leader is once again providing voters with its extensive General Election coverage with the 2007 edition of the Voter Guide.
Included in this guide is detailed, objective information on candidates running for local positions, as well as issues within the West Side Leader readership area.
This information has been reprinted in the format it was provided to us from the data submitted by the candidates, with every effort made to represent their views accurately and without bias.
There were cases in which biographical information and/or photos were not provided, in spite of our best efforts to obtain them. Nonetheless, we have attempted to list the names of all of the candidates running for office.
Unless otherwise noted, all terms for the various offices commence Jan. 1, 2008. Political affiliations are denoted as (D) for Democrat, (R) for Republican and (I) for Independent. The races for judge are nonpartisan. Even though each party nominates a candidate and some of the candidates have indicated party affiliation, we have opted not to list those.
It is the Leader’s hope that this coverage will be used as a supplement to the endorsements and analyses we have provided during the weeks before the election.
