What makes you the best candidate for the position?
“I have been in the Human Resources field over 25 years with experience in labor negotiations and understanding the importance of maintaining good relations with leadership, membership and staff. I am an elected member of the Revere Board of Education since Jan. 1, 2004.
“As an incumbent, I provide the continuity of experience to assist Revere with continued growth and improvement. I serve as team member and represent the citizens of our district by participating in setting educational goals, establishing policies for Revere based upon state laws and community values, help maintain the relationships that have been developed with the unions, community groups, government, educational and financial stakeholders and hold our administrators accountable as it relates to the operations of the schools.
“I will continue to insure our adherence to the Revere Strategic Plan and look at new and innovative ways to improve our schools and continue to see that Revere maintains its excellent rating by the State of Ohio while providing the future educational and facility needs for our students. “My wife, Carol, and I have five children, one of which is now at The Ohio State University. What makes you the best candidate for the position?
“Service as a school board
member is a natural progression from my history of youth
and education-based volunteerism.
I am a very active and involved father of five, four
of whom currently attend Revere Schools. My involvement
through them has allowed me to gain valuable insight
into the strength of our personnel and the function
of our schools, from the classroom
setting to the Offices of Administration. I’ve
been impressed by the competency of many with whom I’ve
worked, and have developed an enthusiasm to be a part
of the continued improvement of our district. I expect
that my business and financial background will help
me work with the rest of the board and current administration
to analyze the fiscal state of our district, and prepare
it for many years of future stability. My ability to
interact with others and successfully work with various
groups makes me a strong candidate for this position
which relies heavily on cooperating with not only other
board members and administration, but teachers, students,
parents, coaches, staff and the entire community at
large.”
