STOW — The Center for Inquiry Community of Northeast Ohio will present a talk by Al Edgell titled, “Globalization and Its Discontent,” Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. at the Stow-Munroe Falls Library, 3512 Darrow Road. WEST AKRON — Councilwoman Reneé Greene will host an Akron Ward 4 meeting Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. at Henry’s Acme. Also, residents are invited to the annual covered-dish dinner Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. at Lawton Street Community Center. Teens from the Urban Ounce of Prevention will perform, and Gwen Wilson will be the guest speaker. Participants are asked to bring a favorite dish. Donations are welcome. WEST AKRON — A Neighbor to Neighbor Breakfast is planned for Nov. 10 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Akron Family Restaurant. The cost is $6 for breakfast, coffee and juice. Also, $1 tickets for the breakfast are available through donations of those who would like to help another neighbor attend the breakfast. This “neighbor” ticket option is available when making a reservation. The guest speaker will be Harvest Home social worker Yvette McClellen, who will share what it means to be a neighbor to those who are experiencing challenges in life.
