SOUTH AKRON — Carousel Dinner Theatre is presenting “Irving Berlin’s White Christmas” now through Dec. 31. Broadway veteran actor and director Stephen Bourneuf directs the 25-person cast consisting of many New York City actors. Based on the 1954 movie “White Christmas” starring Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye, Rosemary Clooney and Vera-Ellen, this new made-for-stage version is the first production in Northeast Ohio, according to Carousel officials. CLEVELAND — Disney Theatrical Productions will stage “High School Musical” Nov. 13-18 at the Palace Theatre. This new touring stage adaptation features a score including all the songs from the original soundtrack, plus two new songs. The touring company includes a live orchestra and a cast of 34 performers. “High School Musical” is a contemporary musical comedy about a popular high school basketball star and a shy, academically gifted newcomer who discover they share a secret passion for singing. A meet-and-greet with the cast will take place after select shows Nov. 13-15. Ticket holders are invited for a question-and-answer session immediately following the show, plus an autograph signing in the Palace Theatre lobby. Ticket prices range from $10 to $67.50.
