Guests enjoy world tour of food

AKRON — The third annual Melting Pot — A
Taste of Many Nations brought together local chefs who
prepared a sampling of ethnic dishes Sept. 27 at Tangier
restaurant.

Proceeds from the event benefited Mature Services Inc. (formerly Senior Workers Action Program), which has been serving older adults and adults with disabilities since 1975.

The fund-raiser featured a silent auction including items such as airline tickets, park-hopper passes to Walt Disney World, themed baskets, an autographed Cavaliers hat, signed poems by Maya Angelou, art, jewelry and more.
