What makes you the best candidate for the position?
“My ability to be objective
and the desire to make our community more affordable
for the families of New Franklin, is one of the reasons
I feel I am the best choice for Council person of Ward
3. In these stressful economic times, our
citizens are concerned for their future and the future
of their City. I feel our government
must be open and objective with our needs to actively
seek business, with proper location, to help with the
rising costs of the new City. Our residents are looking
to the elected officials for answers to the future growth
of New Franklin while still maintaining the ‘rural
flavor’ we all enjoy. I feel
I have shown my desires in this direction. I feel the
need to keep abreast of the budget and help save taxpayers
whenever possible while doing the best for all. Our
City leaders need to look to the future and try to develop
business areas to help our young adults stay in this
community and be able to raise their families here.
My life experiences help me better understand the need
for growth (with proper planning) for our older residents
as well as for our younger residents. We need to be
able to not only live in this city, but to shop, work
and enjoy our own community. With careful planning we
can achieve this.”

What makes you the best candidate for the position?
“Integrity is one of the most important things to me. I have never and will never let my political career cloud my judgment on a decision I need to make. With every vote I cast on Council, the citizens always come first, and they know it. I am very community oriented, donating my time and services to the youth of our city. I have always been available to the residents and have never turned down the opportunity to discuss anyone’s concerns. If a question is asked and I don’t know the answer, I do not tell somebody what they want to hear. I research the question and give them the facts. I am very open minded and can understand the concerns of our residents. That’s why I am excited to get the chance to represent the citizens of Ward 3. I have worked hard for the people of New Franklin for almost three years and will continue working hard in the future.”
