Area cemetery offers veterans place of honor
RITTMAN — The Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, dedicated in 2000, is the final resting place for many local veterans. The 273-acre cemetery, part of which is shown above, has had more than 8,000 interments since its opening.
Shown at right is a monument with part of “The Bivouac of the Dead,” by Theodore O’Hara.
The cemetery is located at 10175
Rawiga Road. It is open for visitors daily during daylight
