Bridge lighting brightens Bath
BATH — Residents and businesses
in Bath helped usher in the holiday season at the Fourth
Annual Bath Business Association Open House and Wye
Road Bridge lighting Nov. 16.
The bridge, shown above, was decked out in greenery, bows and lights, while businesses around the bridge featured trees lit in a variety of hues.
The
event also included an appearance by Santa Claus, who
is shown at right being pursued by two young fans.
Following the lighting, many celebrated
with hot chocolate and cookies from the Bake Shop in
Ghent. Bake Shop employee Rosanne Reville, of Richfield,
is pictured below as she assists Bath resident Louise
Weil with the refreshments.
The evening also featured music by the Bath Church Choir and appearances by Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman.
The bridge and Wye Road businesses will be lit throughout the holiday season.
Bath’s event was one of
the first community lighting events of the season. For
information on others scheduled, see the West Side Leader’s
Holiday Shopping and Events
Guide, included in this issue. —
