Springfield U10 soccer team wins GAASA championship
SPRINGFIELD — The Springfield Spartans U10 B0C4 team finished the 2007 Greater Akron Amateur Soccer Association (GAASA) fall season as both division and playoff champions.
The team, shown at right, finished the regular season in first place with a 6-1-1 record and then went 2-0 in playoff action, avenging its only loss in the championship game.
Led by coach Bill Peterson, team members include Antonia Bario, Bradley Cain, Kasey Carson, Ian Davis, Jacob Davis, Bryant Greer, Aysa Kalamajka, Ricky Peterson, Stephen Radonjich, Alex Reed, Glenn Southerland and Austin Stoddard.
