Book note
CLEVELAND — James Henke, the curator and vice president of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, recently published a book about Jim Morrison. Produced with full cooperation with the Morrison estate, according to museum officials, the “Jim Morrison Scrapbook” captures the wild life, mysterious death and enduring work of the Doors’ leader. The book features new interviews with friends, family members and surviving band members, along with rare and never-before-published photos. The book also offers fans 24 pieces of removable facsimile memorabilia, from handwritten lyrics to teenage artwork. The package also features an exclusive 60-minute compact disc of rare interviews and poems, as heard through the voice of Morrison. Henke launched a promotional tour for the book Nov. 26. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is currently hosting a Doors exhibit to run through March 2008.
