Ivanís Diner and Catering expands service

FAIRLAWN — Ivan’s Diner and Catering has been serving customers for 30 years, according to owner Ivan Lefkowitz, and the food service business is expanding its catering service to meet customer demand.
Ivan’s, located at 2927 W. Market St., features a dine-in menu that includes a variety of sandwiches such as corned beef, Romanian pastrami, reuben, and Swiss cheese and sauerkraut on rye. The menu also features a number of specialty subs, including pulled pork and vegetarian portabella mushroom. Also available at Ivan’s are one-third-pound burgers.
Recently, low-carb wraps in a variety of chicken and Souvlaki recipes and others were added to the menu, said Lefkowitz. Other light dishes include eight different salad options and a fruit bowl featuring seasonal fruit. Side orders also are available, and daily specials are offered.
In addition to dine-in options, Ivan’s offers a catering service for all kinds of parties, picnics, corporate events, showers, weddings and other special occasions. Lefkowitz said he has a “roll-out kitchen” and can bring everything he needs to cook all dishes at a customer’s home or business.
“I pride myself on two basic principles,” said Lefkowitz. “I run a full-service catering business and use top products. I believe my patrons deserve the best and I make sure that they get the most for their money.”
The extensive catering menu includes: continental breakfast items; fruit, dairy, deli and dessert trays; sandwich and sub trays; eight different salads; 12 different chicken dishes; four beef dishes; pastas; a Mexican or Chinese buffet; and specialties such as a hot dog cart that serves jumbo all-beef Vienna dogs or hamburgers.
In addition, Ivan’s can cater backyard barbecues with smoked ribs, chicken or a pig roast served with a variety of sides. Ivan’s also has partnered with St. Thomas Eastern Orthodox Church’s banquet hall, located 555 N. Cleveland-Massillon Road in Bath, where it can cater events for up to 340 people, added Lefkowitz.
“The catering menu can be modified to accommodate individual needs and to fit anyone’s budget,” he added. “Our service is available for any time of the day and any day of the year.”
Ivan’s is catering a fish fry at St. Thomas banquet hall Fridays during Lent from 5 to 8 p.m. Baked and fried fish, rice pilaf, coleslaw, rosemary potatoes and macaroni and cheese will be available.
The diner is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
