NORTHEAST OHIO — The Mower Shop sells and services lawn and power equipment for residential and commercial customers.

The 18-year-old business is owned by Ken Peters and has three locations: 4137 Hudson Drive in Stow, 3055 Pearl Road in Medina and 12570 Prospect Road in Strongsville.

“The Mower Shop offers the biggest and best selection of zero-turn mowers, tractors, blowers, chainsaws and snow blowers from well-known manufacturers, including Dixon, Gravely and Husqvarna,” said Peters.

“We offer a variety of financing options to fit any budget, and currently we have a 0 percent for 48 months offer.”

Prices on equipment range from $369 to $16,000, with models suitable for both residential and commercial use, according to company officials.

“Husqvarna is a world company leader and made right here in the United States, keeping American workers employed,” said Peters. “There is no other manufacturer that makes a better, more affordable product, and Husqvarna offers the most bang for the buck.”

Peters added his most popular Husqvarna item is a 52-inch deck commercial mower that he sells for $4,700, while a competitor’s version is priced in the $6,000 range.

The Mower Shop also sells trimmers, edgers and leaf blowers.

In addition to selling equipment, The Mower Shop services all the products it sells as well as other brands.

“We are a full-service dealer, with four delivery trucks on the road picking up and delivering equipment for service or sales,” said Peters. “The equipment we sell rarely needs service because it is that good, but we do service equipment bought at big box stores.”

That service includes blade sharpening while customers wait, chain sharpening, riding mower and residential mower tune-ups, tire and welding repairs, as well as engine work.

The Mower Shop is an authorized service provider for its equipment as well as Briggs and Stratton, Tecumseh, Kohler, Kawasaki, MTD, Red Max and Ariens, according to Peters.

Detailed estimates are provided prior to repairs, and many repairs have a flat fee, he said. In addition, pick-up and delivery are available for a fee.
