“We sell locally grown, quality plants, which are created by the Amish farmers in the area,” Hudson said. “I have some of the best pricing around. In addition, I offer auctions of items when I get large stocks of a particular plant.”
Hudson said she carries 54 different vegetables, including numerous varieties of tomatoes, peppers, beans and other typical plants, as well as cauliflower, broccoli, cantaloupe and more.
“We have one of the best selections of vegetables around,” said Hudson. “We also offer the vegetable plants in various sizes, from starter to mature.”
Green Farms Greenhouse also has a variety of flowers in flats, combination pots and hanging baskets, both annuals and perennials.
“Our hanging baskets are our specialty,” said Hudson. “We have beautiful, impressive plants in 12-inch sizes, with some plants as wide as 3 feet.”
In addition, large hanging baskets of red, white and blue flowers are available to help decorate and celebrate the Memorial Day weekend, she said.
Hudson said she has 30 years experience in the business and a degree in greenhouse management, and another employee also has a degree in a gardening-related field.
“We have knowledgeable staff that can help our customers select the right plant for different areas of the garden,” said Hudson.
Business hours at Green Farms Greenhouse are Mondays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
