The business moved in July from Summit Mall to the second floor at 133 Ghent Road in Merchant’s Square to “create a more peaceful and home-like atmosphere and to provide closer parking,” said Wang.
“We moved to give our customers better service and ambience, and more convenience.”
Relax Station offers table, foot and chair massages in the traditional Chinese acupressure method, which uses the healing touch of pressure on specific points of the body to provide relief for a variety of problems, according to Wang.
Wang said she and Zhang have more than 30 years of experience, bringing techniques first learned in China to the United States. Zhang also has 30 years of experience in Kung Fu and has won numerous awards, and is a proponent of overall fitness and good nutrition, she added.
Wang said they have the experience to identify the source of problems for many customers. She explained chair massages target the upper body area, including the neck and back, while the table massages address the whole body. Foot massages focus on the feet and lower legs.
Customers often try several methods to see what works for them, she added.
“These massages can relieve muscle tension, improve blood circulation, reduce fatigue, ease migraines and relieve leg, lower back, shoulder and neck pain,” said Wang. “They provide deep relaxation that allows both the mind and the body to recharge and rejuvenate. Reducing stress strengthens the body’s natural resistance and promotes wellness.
“Massages are not just for relaxing and relieving pain; they are a great way to improve overall health,” Wang added. “We can help anyone, from athlete to housewife.”
Massages are also a great way to pamper oneself after a hard day, added Wang.
“Relax Station has the best prices in town, and we offer several specials and promotions,” said Wang.
Gift certificates for the coming holiday season are available in various amounts.
Business hours at Relax Station are Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are available.
