Laura Palmer, who co-owns West End Blenz with Chris Fulton, said the business offers nutritional products for health and weight management, as well as a nutrition bar through West End Blenz. She said the business also offers a variety of weight-loss support programs, including Weight Loss Challenge classes, personal coaching, group programs and long-term maintenance programs.
West End Blenz serves smoothies in 25 flavors, such as cookies and cream, peanut butter cookie, Dutch chocolate, café mocha, strawberry banana and orange cream pie. Palmer said the 16-ounce protein smoothies are low in calories and designed as meal replacements.
“These smoothies are made with Herbalife supplements,” said Palmer. “There are various supplements for heart health, digestive health, energy and fitness, as well as sports fitness.”
West End Blenz, located behind CVS, is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and most Saturdays from 9 a.m. to noon. It also offers free Wi-Fi.
“We are warm, friendly, personable and welcoming,” said Palmer. “We are offering first-time visitors who mention this article a free 16-ounce protein smoothie.”
Palmer added other weight-management products also are available through Weigh 2 Wellness.
The weight-loss support programs include the Weight Loss Challenge class for small groups and a One-on-One program, according to Palmer.
Participants in the nine-week group program receive education about eating healthy and personal support and participate in a weekly weigh-in that offers rewards based on the amount lost. Free workout classes and walking and running groups also are available to participants.
“These weekly weigh-ins tend to be successful because participants are made accountable to someone for their progress,” said Palmer.
The One-on-One program offers direct personal guidance and support from a weight loss specialist, as well as the fitness classes, according to Palmer.
“Our weight loss programs offer great support,” said Palmer. “We help people make small adjustments to their lifestyle until these changes become habits, and we also encourage food journaling.”
